Prague is known for its culture, its beautiful architecture and fine cuisine but not so much skateboarding, right?
Think again. For the past few weeks an awesome skateboard experience has been going on not in the city but under..
For the past seven years, Prague has been building the longest tunnel in Europe, the ‘Tunel Blanka’. A 6.4km, completely lit, deserted downhill two-lane motorway.. any skateboarders’ wet dream. “A non-stop, top-to-bottom thrill ride, at a million miles an hour under one of Europe’s biggest cities – on a skateboard.” in Mpora very own George Service’s words. He had the opportunity to ride it and he lived to tell the story. Between the fact that it’s illegal, several skaters have been arrested, the risk of speed wobbles and the fact that you get in through a very busy highway.. this shit is pretty dangerous.
Enjoy these flicks taken by photographer Ondrej Horak and head over to Mpora for George’s full story.
